There's some speculation that Hillary Clinton will be on the 2008 Presidential Ballot. What do you think?

After 8 years of GW, I would hope that the country does not forget the Clinton legacy. If people really paid attention to congressional issues, they would never vote for her...at least I hope not.

My personal opinion is if we get a democrat in office we're out of jobs. John Kerry almost did it. I love her voting record too...here it is:
John Kerry voted to kill the Aegis anti-aircraft system
John Kerry voted to kill the B-1
John Kerry voted to kill the B-2
John Kerry voted to kill the Block 60 F-16
John Kerry voted to kill the Bradley Fighting Vehicle
John Kerry voted to kill the F117
John Kerry voted to kill the F-15 Strike Eagle
John Kerry voted to kill the FA-18
John Kerry voted to kill the M-1 Abrams Tank
John Kerry voted to kill the P-3 Orion upgrade
John Kerry voted to kill the Patriot anti Missile system
John Kerry voted to kill every Aircraft carrier laid down from 1988
John Kerry voted to cut the funding for the CIA [ http://www.cia.gov/ ] by 80%.
John Kerry voted to cut the funding of the FBI [ http://www.fbi.gov/ ] by 60%.
John Kerry voted to cut the funding for the NSA [ http://www.nsa.gov/ ] by 80%.
- THEN, John Kerry voted to increase tax-payer funding of the UN by 800% - by RAISING OUR TAXES! see http://www.irs.gov

I do believe that she will make the ballot and run in 2008, however, all I can say is God help us if she gets elected. You know those annual pay raises we all enjoy so much, say bye-bye to those if she gets elected. Also, forget about job security. Every democrat tries to down size the military, so that means some of the overmanned career fields might as well expect to lose some of their people. I am worried but at the same time I'm not. By the time she gets elected I will have just over a year left in the military so either way I will be close to getting out, however, if for some reason I decide to stay in and do my 20, which I seriously doubt I will, I might have to worry about job security. On the other hand that could be a good thing because if career fields start losing their people it might prompt them to re-instate re-enlistment bonuses.

Just because your time in the military may be short by that time, dont forget how they slam retirees benefits and VA benefits. If you are retiring or just getting out, they (being the Dems) can still screw you over after serving your country.

I couldn't agree more. VA Bennies claims are a mess right now, they don't need to be made any worse. The records system is completely messed up. The Inactive Reserve HQ Records Warehouse in St. Louis, MO is a complete mess. My father and uncle both tried to get copies of their records. 2 weeks later they said their records had burned in a fire back in 84. My father didn't get out of the military until 88. Then a month after that, they received copies of their records. My records were shipped there 17 SEP 07, they claim they still don't have them. I'm losing out on 40% disability and can no longer get a job in LE. If I take a job in LE, I get hit with disability fraud, but until they find my records and get the ball rolling, I have a very limited income. The Dems have always been big on cutting military/VA funding. Elections are always voting for the lesser of two evils, though.

The dems are definatly trying to get better funds for the VA and the GI bill, ect. The new GI bill congress just voted to pass (bi-partisan votes) was began by a democrat. Politicians are politicians, there are good ones on both sides as well as bad ones. I dont think you can just lump every dem into the group that wants to defund the military. I'm a dem and just joined up.
